Job Description:
Stair Estate is a large privately owned estate in South West Scotland which is centred around Lochinch Castle and Castle Kennedy Gardens. The estate covers approximately 44,000 acres and is comprised of mixed, but mostly rural based enterprises including in-hand and let farming, let residential, commercial, and industrial properties, forestry, tourism, sporting, renewable energy, and a local media business.
Reporting directly to the owners a unique opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute professional to look after the overall management of the estate, based in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the Scottish countryside.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively seeking out new development opportunities.
- Working closely with the owners to ensure that the entire Estate is managed to the highest possible standard.
- Responsibility for all estate employees, issues and health & safety.
- Effective asset management of entire portfolio.
- Liaising with existing tenants.
THE INDIVIDUAL
- We are keen to hear from both MRICS Rural Surveyors or candidates with other relevant professional experience; finance, operations, etc.
- A proven track record of delivering strategic level portfolio management and budgetary control.
- Experience of managing and running entrepreneurial businesses.
- Unparalleled commercial and financial awareness, capable of creative thinking and an eye for detail.
Package will include an excellent base salary, provision of a vehicle, and house.
