DDM Agriculture - Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire - Qualified Surveyor or Graduate

Job Description:

This is not just a job opportunity, but a career opportunity!

DDM Agriculture, along with subsidiary companies, JH Pickup & Co and Townend Clegg Agriculture are, due to further expansion, again looking for potential succession candidates to take forward three long-established businesses, which operate in Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire.

Candidates looking to further their careers are often pointed towards the bright lights of the national firms, but if you want to avoid being “a small fish in a big pond” for the first ten years of your career, then please read on!

The businesses, operating under the parent company of DDM Agriculture Limited, operate in a very diverse area of the country which, on first glance, may not be the number one choice of an area to work in, but the integration of industry and commercial development opportunities within one of the best agricultural areas in the country, make this an excellent opportunity to build a successful career as a Land Agent.

Both qualified surveyors and graduates will be considered for a position at either of our Brigg, Bawtry or Howden offices. We are, therefore, seeking to appoint a well presented, committed, self-motivated, adaptable and enthusiastic qualified surveyor or graduate, who is prepared to get involved in the area, become part of the fabric of the region and the business. The position(s) offered represents a fantastic opportunity to work alongside the Directors and principal fee earners of the business. There is a wide diversity of work, to include NSIP on both developer and client side, promotion and option agreement work, rural estate and property management, valuations, SFI, property agency, compensation work, rural planning, landlord and tenant matters, grant and subsidy applications, on-farm machinery sales, renewables and joint farming arrangements and everything in between.

In addition, we boast an excellent pass rate for APC/CAAV candidates as we provide a wide spectrum of experience and also benefit from having an RICS and CAAV examiner as part of the team.

Applicants will need to be ambitious, dynamic, able to show a comprehensive knowledge of practical agriculture (especially arable), possess a strong academic and professional work ethic and have the ability to fully engage with clients, whilst demonstrating good negotiating and interpersonal skills. Applicants should also be commercially minded and capable of establishing, building on and maintaining good relationships with clients.

A competitive package is on offer to the right candidate(s).
