The Opportunity: Seize this huge opportunity to establish a new farm business consultancy division, leveraging an existing rural client base and your strategic advisory skills. You will use your expertise to drive growth and success for diverse rural estates and farming clients across the North West of England. This role would suit a highly motivated, organised agricultural professional with proven experience, exceptional communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a passion for providing excellent client service.

The Company: A leading land and rural professional services business, renowned for its progressive approach, boasting a strong team delivering comprehensive land management solutions across a wide ranging portfolio of commercial, rural, agricultural, and residential property.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide management and strategic advice to an established, diverse range of Estates and farming clients
  • Provide research and advice on rural grant funding and subsidy schemes
  • Benchmark business performance and the provision of associate advice
  • Liaise with professional and industry stakeholders
  • Deliver high quality, financially sound advice to farming clients
  • To respond promptly to client needs, and maintain good relationships with both clients and colleagues
  • Support the Farm Business Consultancy team with strategic farm business management work
  • To complete management accounts, budgets, and business plans for a wide variety of farming, estates and diversified businesses
  • To carry out duties efficiently and ensure ‘best practice’ and professional standards are adhered to
  • To assist the partners and senior staff with the management and ongoing development of the firm
  • To comply with health and safety policies, and other legal obligations
  • To maintain up-to-date technical and legislative knowledge
  • To represent the firm diligently at all industry events attended

Skills you will need:
Essential:

  • Hold a relevant degree in Agriculture, Land Management, Business Management, or similar
  • At least 3+ years experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly motivated with an enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude and a keen willingness to learn
  • A strong team player, reliable and friendly with strong communication skills and professional integrity
  • Exceptional organisational skills, thrives in high-pressure environment and consistently meets deadlines
  • The ability to manage relationships with existing and potential clients
  • The initiative to identify opportunities for developing own portfolio of clients
  • Full clean UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Practical farming experience
