How to Join
You can join the CAAV as a Student member whilst studying full-time, or as a Probationer member if you are in relevant employment, gaining practical and theoretical knowledge under supervision.
Student members may choose to join a Local Association but there is no requirement to do so. Probationer members and CAAV Fellows are however required to also belong to at least one Local Association in the area where they practise.
As a Probationer member, and as a Student member who joins a Local Association, you will receive all the benefits of CAAV membership and can attend events and meetings organised by their Local Association. Probationers may also attend tutorials as part of the preparation for the CAAV professional examinations which, if successfully passed, can lead to election as a Fellow of the CAAV (with use of the letters FAAV).
There are four classes of CAAV membership:-
Further information on each of these classes of membership and the application process may be found by clicking the links for each one above.
